I have been fascinated by the power of thought from the time I was six years old. That’s when my father successfully convinced me I could cure warts with chalk. My warts vanished and I told everyone about it, until my father took me aside. He told me, “I know nothing about warts or chalk, but I do know that what you believe becomes true for you.”
My passion for learning to create on purpose, with the power of thought, led me to study with many teachers including Louise Hay, author of the book, “You Can Heal Your Life.” Louise led me to practice positive affirmations and visualizations with delightful results. I attracted my dream job, my dream home, and the man of my dreams!
However, in spite of my success, I felt like something was missing and awareness of that gap nagged at me. Sometimes affirmations didn’t work; why was that? Was there some sort of missing link between affirmations and successful manifestation that I was missing? How exactly was it that we create what happens to us and how could I be more effective at it? continue reading Joy First is Key to Success with Law of Attraction

I enjoy a daily dose of inspiration from a variety of books and emails. One source of inspirational quotes is Mike Dooley’s Notes from the Universe.
Here’s one of my favorite Notes about the law of attraction:
Your Attention Please…
Your Attention Please…
This… is the Universe.
Today I’ll be recording your every thought and emotion, no matter how “good” or “bad”, no matter how generous or stingy, and no matter how helpful or hurtful they may be. And everything I record… will be played back for you, as soon as possible, as some type of physical manifestation in time and space.
Thank you, that is all.”

Sunflower
A delightful new blog came on the scene in February, with a beautiful header, inspiring posts and high hopes. But no announcements. Not even Google could find this blog. A well kept secret… until now.
Oh what the heck! It’s THIS blog! It’s ME!
I had a realization jumping on the trampoline today. Just get it out there. Stop trying to edit those half written articles that didn’t make it to the page and thinking you’ve got to fill in something for every week past. That’s just a story you made up.
I recognized this voice as a reasonable one.
I have lots of things to write about. In the last six weeks, my husband and I started putting in new floors in our home, my office was renovated, I got a brand new computer, we’ve had visitors and my Mom’s gone in and out of the hospital. It’s all good.
My commitment is to enjoy this writing adventure and follow my inspiration. My intention is to post something here at least once a week.
I’ve already taken 3 steps to letting the world know about this blog. I’ve created a new autosignature with a JoyFirst blog link for my emails, I’ve put blog links on my main website JoyousRenegade.com and I’m allowing Googlers to find me. Next: Facebook and Twitter.
Up , up and away….
